Impressions:
I didn't realize when I saw this that it was the first entry in a nine-movie series. It's nice to see a movie from the era with a female lead who isn't wholly incompetent or an obstructive nagging shrew. The story is decent with some good twists to it. It didn't strike me as exceptional, however, so your mileage may vary. Take it or leave it.
