The Adventures of Hercules (1985)
[Le avventure dell'incredibile Ercole]

Director: Luigi Cozzi
Starring: Lou Ferrigno, Milly Carlucci, William Berger
Synopsis:
Hercules is sent to Earth to thwart the plot of a band of rogue gods who stole Zeus' thunderbolts.
Impressions:
Jason and the Argonauts this is not, but if you want a cheesy Italian sword and sandals flick, this is fairly entertaining. Lou Ferrigno at least brings the physical presence you expect for Hercules and I honestly thought Minos' plot to use science to best the power of the gods was interesting. Acting, costuming, and special effects are pretty much what you'd expect from a movie like this. The final battle is bizarre. They actually rotoscope scenes from the original King Kong. It's crazy, but kind of amazing in a way. If your expectations are set reasonably low, you have a good chance of enjoying yourself, but otherwise you may not have such a high opinion of it. Take it or leave it.
