Impressions:
This is one of those movies I heard about when it came out, read a review (back when I still read the paper) and never followed up on it, but it happened to show up on TV, so I gave it a watch. I don't watch that many indie flicks. Sometimes they've got good stuff you wouldn't normally see. Other times it's nothing more than pretentious crap. In this case, it's a clever twist on what would otherwise be a fairly conventional crime thriller. I'd rather not spoil the gimmick here, so let's just say that the movie subverts expectations and dabbles in a little magical realism. It's rather stylish with its rapid cuts, animated inserts and techno score. If you're looking for something a little different, give this one a try.
