You can tell Stewart Granger's passion for the role of Andre Moreau because he plays it with amazing gusto. His talents are on full display here: charm, humor and swashbuckling action. If you like stories in the vein of The Three Musketeers, you'll enjoy yourself here. Expect twists and turns and secret parentage along the way. Besides Granger, Mel Ferrer is solid as the Marquis de Maynes and Eleanor Parker is good as Andre's spitfire girlfriend Lenore. The swashbuckling is very good and the final swordfight in particular really kicks it up a notch. Any swashbuckling fan is sure to have a good time. Give it a watch.
