Impressions:
I haven't seen any of Broken Lizard's stuff before or after this, but from what I understand, this is the highlight of their work. I usually don't go for the lowbrow sort of humor, but I'm of common stock, so groundling appeal can resonate with me regardless of my attempts at urbane pretension. Put simply, this movie is pretty daggone funny. The Broken Lizard crew play a colorful cast of dysfunctional pranksters and you've got veteran actors like Brian Cox and Daniel von Bargen to provide some grounding. Basically, I'd say watch the first sequence and if that hooks you, you're going to enjoy the rest of the ride. If you're the kind of person who doesn't see "sophomoric humor" as a negative, it's a no-brainer, so go watch it right meow.
